Terms of use

MayBirthday is a service of Raw4 Multimedia Services, DTI Business Name No. 6140605, 40 Provincial Road, Calaocan, Santiago City, Isabela, Philippines. Contact: support@maybirthday.com.

1. What MayBirthday is

A private family album for your child's life, one birthday at a time: photos, videos, notes and life events, kept in order, and shared only with the people you choose.

2. Your account and your family

  • You must be 18 or older to create an account. Only parents sign in: one parent starts the album and can invite the other parent.
  • A family can keep as many people as it likes, each with their own timeline. You can share with as many people as you like by link; they don't need an account.
  • For each child you add, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian (or have the guardian's permission) and you agree to our Privacy notice for that child.

3. Locked end to end, and what that means for you

Your photos, videos and children's details are locked on your family's phones before they reach us. We can't open them. That also means we can't get you back into your album if you lose every family phone and your Recovery Kit. Make your Recovery Kit, keep it somewhere safe, and add the other parent's phone.

4. House rules (for everyone, including guests)

You must not upload, share or ask for:

  • Any sexual content involving a child, or anything that sexually abuses or exploits a child, including drawn, edited or AI-made material. We remove it, suspend the account or link, preserve the evidence, and report it to the authorities as Philippine law (RA 11930) requires.
  • Content that harms, threatens or harasses anyone.
  • Photos of people who asked not to be shared, or anything you don't have the right to share.
  • Spam, malware, or anything unlawful.

Guests agree to these rules before their first upload. A guest's photos only join an album after a parent approves them.

5. Reporting

Anyone can report a photo, video or link from inside the app. Reports about a child's safety hide the item straight away while we review it. We act on every report within 24 hours. See our Child safety standards.

6. The family plan

MayBirthday's family plan costs ₱1,190 a year in the Philippines. In other countries, it's the price the App Store or Google Play shows you. One plan covers your whole family: every parent's phone and your computer. Relatives and party guests you share with never pay.

The plan includes 50 GB of room. A parent can add space at any time. A year, in the Philippines:

  • 50 GB: ₱1,190
  • 100 GB: ₱1,980
  • 150 GB: ₱2,750
  • 200 GB: ₱3,550
  • 250 GB: ₱4,350

Buying and renewing. A parent buys the plan in the App Store or on Google Play, and that store charges it. It renews every year by itself until you cancel. The store charges you in the 24 hours before each renewal.

Changing size. Adding space starts right away, and the store adjusts the price for the time left in your year. A smaller size starts at your next renewal; you keep your room until then.

Cancelling. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You keep the plan until the end of the year you paid for. Refunds are decided by Apple or Google under their own rules. Deleting your MayBirthday account doesn't cancel the store subscription. Cancel it in the store too.

When your album is full, new photos and videos pause. Nothing is deleted: you can still see, share and download everything. During a party (a guest link made in the last 3 days), the album can go up to 5 GB over so guests aren't cut off.

Without an active plan, your album is view-only: you can see, share and download everything, and only adding new photos and videos waits until the plan starts again. If a plan ends and isn't renewed, the album stays view-only for one month, so you can download everything. We email every parent when the month starts and 7 days before it ends, and the app shows the date. Then the album and everything in it is deleted. If a payment fails, nothing is deleted while the App Store or Google Play is still trying to take it; the month starts when they stop. Your sign-in stays, so you can start again.

Founding families. The first 1,000 families to start a family album in MayBirthday are founding families, and every family that joined during the beta is one of them. Places go in the order albums were started, and a few of them are albums we run ourselves, like the ones App Review uses. Once all 1,000 are taken, new families pay the regular price. If your family is a founding family, your plan screen says so.

  • Families who joined during the beta: your first 3 months are free, from the day the family plan started in the app. Nothing is charged until a parent starts the plan.
  • Your 50 GB plan costs ₱1,090 a year instead of ₱1,190 (for beta families, after the free months). The founding price is always ₱100 a year less than the regular 50 GB price. If the regular price ever changes, the founding price changes with it, under the price-change rules below, and you keep your ₱100 off.
  • The founding price is only for the 50 GB size. If you add space, you pay the regular price for the bigger size, for example ₱1,980 a year for 100 GB. If you move back down to 50 GB, you pay the founding price again.
  • You keep the founding price for as long as your family's album is with us. It ends only if your plan ends and your album is deleted; a new album after that pays the regular price.
  • For beta families, when the free months end, the rules above apply: start the plan to keep adding photos, or the album stays view-only for one month and is then deleted, with emails when the month starts and 7 days before.

Price changes. We change prices at most once a year. We explain why, give you 30 days' notice, and never charge a higher price until you agree to it.

7. Your content

You own everything you upload. You give us only the permission we need to store the locked files and deliver them to the people you share with. We never use your content for advertising or AI training, and we never sell it.

8. Ending your account

You can download everything (Family → Download everything) and delete your account (Family → Delete my account, or our delete-account page) at any time. What the law requires us to keep after deletion is explained in the Privacy notice. We may suspend or close an account that breaks the house rules.

9. Our responsibilities

We work to keep MayBirthday secure, available and backed up, and to deliver the features we describe. MayBirthday is a new service in beta: features may change, and it may sometimes be unavailable. Keep your own copies of anything precious (Download everything makes this easy). We aren't responsible for losses caused by things outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Philippine consumer law, or our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

10. Complaints

Email support@maybirthday.com or use Help in the app. We reply within 3 working days and aim to resolve things within 7 days. You can also contact the Department of Trade and Industry.

11. Changes and governing law

We'll tell you in the app before these terms change. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
